Our Story
Pads4Education,Empowering girls one pad at a time
Pads4Education was born from the desire to break the cycle of period poverty and educational barriers. What began as a small local effort has grown into a powerful grassroots movement, impacting thousands of girls across regions. We work hand in hand with schools, families, and communities to deliver meaningful change.
Our Mission
At Pads4Education, we are committed to ensuring that no girl misses school because of her period. We provide schoolgirls with access to reusable sanitary pads and sustainable menstrual products, along with menstrual health education and community support. Our mission is to empower girls to manage their periods with dignity, protect the environment through sustainable solutions, and break the cycle of period poverty so they can pursue their education confidently and uninterrupted

Our Programs

Menstrual Health Hygiene & Sexual Reproductive health & Rights Education
We deliver comprehensive menstrual health and hygiene education, helping girls understand their bodies, manage their periods safely, and overcome stigma. This knowledge empowers them to stay confident and focused on their education.

Toa (Distribution Program)
Through our Toa program, we distribute reusable pads, menstrual underwear, and school uniforms to girls who need them most. These essential supplies ensure girls can attend school with comfort and dignity, without missing classes due to lack of materials.

Kuza (Mentorship)
In our Kuza program, older girls mentor their younger peers, offering guidance, encouragement, and a safe space to discuss challenges. This sister-to-sister support system nurtures leadership, resilience, and community among the girls.

Environmental Clean-Up
Based in Mombasa, we lead ocean and environmental clean-up initiatives, integrating sustainable practices into our pad production by using recyclable materials. This program teaches girls the importance of environmental stewardship while making a positive impact on their coastal communities

Economic Skills Development
We provide hands-on training in sewing and pad-making, equipping girls with practical skills. Graduates receive sewing machines to help them generate extra income, empowering them toward economic independence and contributing to their families’ well-being.
